Alumni Association
The Meredith/Inter-Lakes Alumni Association held their annual meeting and banquet at Church Landing on June 2nd, 2024. This marked the 100th year that the association has been in existence! We were pleased to welcome 160 people to our banquet, 138 were alumni graduates, including 24 members of the 50th reunion class of 1974. The class of 1964 celebrated their 60th year with 20 members in attendance. Two students from the Inter-Lakes High School Class of 2024 received Alumni scholarships as follows:
Lily Richardson received the Miss Lee Scholarship and will be attending SNHU pursuing Elementary Education. Reference letters emphasize that school is a place for Lily that is comfortable and where she inspires others and that she demonstrates she has the leadership skills that are sought after in a 21st century world. Lily was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Her extra-curricular activities included: class
vice-president (1 year), class president (2 years), soccer (all 4 years/captain in her senior year), track and field (4 years) and participation in the Division III State meet for hurdles. Lily actively volunteered in school as well as her church and community.
Eloise Moore received the Alumni Association Traditional Scholarship. She will be attending Keene State College pursuing Biology, focusing on Biomedical Research. References for Eloise share that her strengths lie in her ability to think critically and communicate effectively, and that she also exhibits the qualities of resourcefulness
and perseverance whenever she encounters a challenge; essential characteristics for success in not just science but in all areas of academia. Extra-curricular activities included: Destination Imagination since third grade, track and field for 2 years, chorus
since 5th grade, “select chorus” for three years and president of the chorus in her senior year. Eloise activelyvolunteered in her community and summited all 48 peaks in New Hampshire over 4,000 feet.
We were proud to sponsor the annual Alumni Loyalty cup that has been our tradition since 1928. The award is presented to that member of the senior class who has been a member of ILHS for at least two full years, academically ranks in the upper half of the class and whose record of loyalty to the school organization, wholesome character and initiative meets the ideals of ILHS. The recipient is nominated and voted on by the
members of the Inter-Lakes High School faculty and is a great honor with recipients held in high esteem.
Mark your calendars for the 2025 Alumni banquet, at Church Landing, on Sunday, June 1st. 10:30 to 1:00. We will be honoring the 50th reunion class of 1975.
